10 things I would say to my high school self...

Dear high school Bethy,

1: The big poof you wear in your hair isn't cute. Yeah, I understand in cheer you have to have your hair out of your face. That however doesn't mean you have to have a poof as big as the oceans tide.

2: Your friends you think will be friends with forever, aren't going to make it out of high school. But its okay, rejection is God's form of protection. Pinky promise!

3: You should turn your homework in on time. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it will help you prepare to meet deadlines in the real world.

4: Keep taking pictures. And LOTS of them. No matter how annoyed people get. It will be the only tagible memory you will have when you get older.

5: Laugh really hard with your friends. Even in the classes your not allowed to even talk in. Those are usually the best memories. The one's where you all look like your going to explode.

6: Don't stress about homecoming and prom dances so much. It's the memories with your friends that really matter not if you got a limo for 2 or 3 hours.

7: Don't fight your curfew with your parents. In retrospect, you will look back and realize even though your 18, a 2am curfew is not half bad and will keep you out of trouble. And they were are quite lenient setting it so late, because they trust you. Nothing good happens after midnight anyways. Unless your with awesome company. In that case yay for no curfews when you get in college.

8: Learn from others mistakes. It will save you a lot of trouble.

9: Enjoy looking like you just rolled out of bed senior year. It becomes socially unacceptable to go out of the house looking like you just came out of your grave in the real world.

10: Your in for a surprise for who you will become after high school, but remember to thank God every day for His grace in your life.

xoxo,
Your future self

P.s Happy Spring Break to all my high school peeps! Have fun and enjoy every minute of it!
