The start of something new.

Extrovert, people person, social butterfly or whatever you want to call it,  I love people. The most intriguing people to me, however are the ones that reveal your fullest potential to you just by their own life. Not only do they get you going, but they push you not to stop. When around these people they feel like a breath of fresh air. I like those people.  That is my aspiration in my life, to be that breath of fresh air to people.  While viewing life through my lens, my mission is to inspire.

I've decided to take a different approached to my photography business. An approach that doesn't just show my work, but one that shows who I am as a person. That girl, that loves shoes, thinks cheetah print is the new black, and when nervous can't seem to shut up. I realized I don't want people just to hire me, because I can take a "good picture". I want them to hire me, well... for me! Don't get me wrong, I believe producing good work is an necessity, but I've come to the epiphany that them hiring ME includes all my passions such as photography. In retrospect, people are hiring me for my work. So simple, but so profound to me. In reality, it's more than about what I can do behind the camera. It's about how I make people feel and how I can use my talent to change people's lives.

It's the family that has had the same family photo hanging in their living room for the past 10 years. Why? Because my family is guilty of it! Crazy right? I am workin' on it people!! However, you know whats beautiful about it? Although our looks have changed a little, OKAY a LOT! The beauty of it is, that our love hasn't. I want to be able to capture that in my art. The feeling of my work hanging in someones house (in our case, 10 years) makes me squeal like my little sister meeting Justin Bieber. Maybe a little dramatic. But hey I'm just keeping it real!

It's the high school senior. The high school senior that is anticipating that feeling of freedom, a freedom they've never experienced before. Boy do I remember that feeling! But first having to overcome obstacles that seem like mountains when on the starting line. The worries of making the sports team, finding a prom date and making sure your picture for the yearbook doesn't look absolutely hideous!

It's the couple so in love that they make others smile because of their love. The couple that sing along to songs together in the car, has inside jokes and still throw each other high fives! Whether they are newly engaged or have been marred for 30 years, the couple that you can see the love in their eyes when they look at each other no matter how chaotic life can be around them.

Last but not least, the dreamer. It is the one that has dreams that seem so out of reach they can only see it by closing their eyes at night.

I want to get to know those people. I hope you guys will hop on this journey with me. I'm excited to see what God has in stored!

xoxo,
Bethany
